This tale unwinds in a way that satisfies our curiosity about the true nature of Leif and Hynfir’s bond while leaving us craving for so much more.
Shanti’s knack for bringing out the best in her characters and the human condition shines in “The Lion and the Tiger”. The dialogue and the terms of endearment can seem a bit awkward at times, but one must keep in mind that the author is writing about another world in a faraway galaxy where this manner of speech might be completely familiar and acceptable. All in all, this is an endearing tale which demonstrates that love has no bounds and is truly everlasting.
