David W. Thompson fans get ready for a spine-chilling, breath-sucking, legendary read that rivals—nay, surpasses—his first epic novel and beginning chapter in the Legend of the Family Dyer Series , “Sister Witch: The Life of Moll Dyer” with “His Family’s Blood (Legend of the Family Dyer Book 2)”!

“His Family’s Blood” is a superlative tale that—like its predecessor—combines historical fiction/romance with Native American legend and folklore, resulting in a story that is both provocative and terrifying.

Thompson’s amazing cast of characters is well-developed and realistic. They range from John Dyer—a man shunned by the settlers because of his Native background, to Ernest Hartman—a hell and brimstone preacher, to Sally Ann O’Shea—a spurned woman hell-bent on seeking revenge on all who cast her as a harlot and will stop at nothing to get it. As each character explores their surroundings—and oftentimes each other—it’s quite easy for readers to relate to the intensity of their personalities, dreams, and ambitions with Thompson providing a clear and definitive understanding of what drives them forward toward each of their fates. Placing Thompson’s cast in the midst of the American wilderness, where the wild things roam, brings a sense of heightened danger and mystery to already brilliant, and oftentimes terrifying, plot line. “His Family’s Blood” is a great standalone tale, but combined with Book 1 of the Legend of the Family Dyer series, it has significantly greater impact.

History... Legend...Romance... Horror... This series has it all and stands as one of my all-time favorite reads. Just a side note—I do recommend both books for ages 17 and up due to violence and adult situations. Congratulations to the author on this award-winning story!
